Self-Enrichment Aviation Teacher

Location: Arcola, TX

Type: Full-time

Job Duties: each and instruct individuals or groups for self-enrichment or recreation in aviation, including ground school, preflight briefing, flight training, and use of Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATD). Develop instructional objectives, lesson plans, and curriculum; monitor student progress; enforce student policies; and prepare performance assessments. Conduct activities to encourage experiential learning and aviation development. Utilize technology, including simulators, to supplement teaching. Participate in student recruitment and publicity planning.

Minimum Requirements:
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 800 hours of logged pilot time, including 600 hours in Technologically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) and 250 hours of dual instruction given. Candidates must possess FAA-issued certifications, including Commercial Pilot, Instrument Pilot, Instrument Ground Instructor (IGI), Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI), Cirrus Certified Training Center Instructor (TCI), and Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot Admin (CSIP Admin). Additional requirements include a Cirrus Advanced Transition Training Certificate in SR-Series G5 or higher, a current Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC), Flight Review (FR), Cirrus IFR and VFR Review certificates, and Icing Awareness Course certification. Preferred certifications include Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII).

Technical proficiency is essential, including expertise in Flight Circle scheduling software for fleet management and Salesforce CRM for customer tracking. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish and demonstrate strong teaching, communication, and instructional skills. Proficiency with Apple macOS, iPad, iPhone, and related applications are also required. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work environments, face-to-face interactions, and the use of flight simulators and Cirrus SR/SF-series aircraft.

Ground and Facilities Support Team Member

Description: Help maintain our state-of-the-art facility and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include hangar management, fueling coordination, and aircraft preparation.
