Real ownership. shared investment.

This isn't a rental or a flying club. It's actual Cirrus ownership — structured to fit your budget and flying frequency.

How Fractional Ownership Works

A straightforward path to Cirrus ownership – structured around your goals, your schedule, and your partners.

choose your share

Select a fractional share that matches your flying frequency. Partnerships typically involve two to four qualified pilots.

Design Partnerships

Our team helps structure a partnership agreement that clearly defines scheduling, costs, and each owner's rights and responsibilities.

Take ownership

You hold real title to your share of the aircraft – not a membership or a lease. You are an owner.

We handle the rest

Modern Pilot manages maintenance, compliance, scheduling, and airworthiness. You show up and fly.

WHy Fractional Makes Sense

  • Real Title, Real Ownership:  You hold legal title to your share of the aircraft. This is not a rental arrangement or a flying club membership – you are a Cirrus owner.
  • Priority Access: As an owner you have scheduling priority over training flights. Your aircraft is available when you need it, with scheduling structured around your partnership agreement.
  • Shared Costs: Fixed costs – hangar, insurance, maintenance, and inspections – are divided among partners. You get a modern Cirrus at a cost that matches your actual flying frequency.
  • Fully Managed: Modern Pilot handles all maintenance coordination, airworthiness compliance, and scheduling logistics. You fly – we handle everything else.
  • Flexible Structure:Partnership agreements are tailored to each group. Scheduling, cost-sharing, and usage terms are structured to fit your specific partners and flying habits.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many pilots share the aircraft?

Fractional partnerships at Modern Pilot typically involve two to four qualified pilots. The number of partners directly affects your share percentage, cost structure, and aircraft availability.

How does scheduling work?

Scheduling terms are defined in your partnership agreement and structured around your specific group of owners. As an owner you have priority access over training flights. We ask that owners plan ahead — last-minute changes that disrupt other partners are discouraged.

Is there a minimum number of hours I have to fly each month?

No. There is no monthly minimum flight hour requirement. You fly as much or as little as your schedule allows. Individual partnership agreements may vary.

What costs am I responsible for?

Costs are divided proportionally based on your ownership share. Fixed costs — hangar, insurance, and scheduled maintenance — are split among partners. Variable costs such as fuel are typically the responsibility of the flying owner. Specific cost structures are detailed in each partnership agreement.

What if I want to sell my share later?

Since you hold real title, you can sell your share. Our acquisition and brokerage team can assist with valuation and the transaction when the time comes.
